Homeschool Families

Contact the Zoo Education Department for information on monthly classes for Homeschool families. The monthly classes meet on Tuesday mornings from 9:30 am - Noon and cover a variety of topics.

"Wild Nites"

"Wild Nites" are free evening lectures for teens and adults presented in the fall an spring in the Education Building. Wildlife experts and guest speakers from other zoos offer information on various conservation topics involving plant or animal species.

Attendance confirmation forms are available for high school students receiving credit.

Have you ever wanted to volunteer at the Zoo? Our docent (volunteer) training is held in January and February of each year.

EXPLORERS
Teens who have completed the 8th grade and are at least 14 years of age can join this service oriented volunteer group. Explorers is a co-ed program of Boy Scouts of America and the Alexandria Zoo.
