Bailey & Honey

Bailey was born at the Alexandria Zoo on May 3, 2006. He was rejected by his mother at birth (which is not uncommon for first time mothers to reject the first born) and is being hand raised.

Luckily for Bailey we were able to locate a young hand-raised spider monkey (Honey) to raise with him. Since monkeys live in groups this works out well for both of them.

The spider monkeys can be seen on exhibit at the zoo.
