Field Trips

The Zoo is a great place to reinforce your classroom teaching in Science, Geography and Language Arts. A trip to the Zoo can also enhance instruction in Economics, Math, Art and more. Contact the Zoo Education Department for activity ideas. Request a scavenger hunt, observation sheet, animal trivia quiz or animal fact sheets to help focus your Zoo visit. Also, the Education Department is ready to provide programs or tours for your class.

Reservations

Field trips are welcomed at the zoo anytime during the year. Reservations are required and we recommend you make arrangements at least two weeks prior to your visit.

Also, the months of March, April, and May are extremely busy, especially on Fridays. Sometimes it is necessary to limit the number of groups visiting each day to prevent overcrowding, so be sure to reserve at least a month in advance during the spring months.
