Summer Safari
Each summer kids in kindergarten through the 8th grade can spend a whole week learning about the zoo and its unique residents during Summer Safari. Each class is geared to a specific age group and sessions include activities, crafts, behind-the-scenes tours, snacks, train rides, animal encounters, visits with zookeepers, and a t-shirt. Summer Safari classes enable your child to experience the Zoo and its animals under the guidance of educators, trained volunteers and Zoo staff.
Fees
FOTAZ Member: $80 per class
Non-Member: $90 per class
Please Note
- The Parent/Guardian/Grandparent listed on the form must match the name listed on the FOTAZ Membership to qualify for the discount, and FOTAZ membership status is checked.
- Non-members can begin registering Monday, April 1 at 9 am. Non-member registrations will not be processed until Monday, April 1.
Registration
- Print the Summer Safari registration form and frequently asked questions.
- Forms can be mailed, faxed, or dropped off at the zoo office. Registrations will not be taken over the phone.
For Online Registration
- Each class has to be registered for individually.
- Multiple children can be registered for the same class on one online form.
Cancelations & Rescheduling
- Full refunds are given only to those who make the request more than two weeks prior to class starting (A $3 processing fee will be charged for refunds of credit card or online payments).
- Requests made less than two weeks prior to class will receive only a 50% refund since the spot has been reserved for you and it may not be filled.
- Individuals making a request within six days of the class shall not receive a refund.
- Rescheduling requests are determined by availability.
Children can only be registered for TWO Summer Safari classes at a time.
All classes are based on GRADE COMPLETED in May 2013.
